Raja Varatharaju

Raja has over 18 years of global leadership experience in sales and marketing in reputed companies like Henkel, Ford and CavinKare. Having led brands like Meera, Indica, Nyle Shampoo, Karthika, Ford Fiesta, Fa, Margo and many such well known brands from ground zero to millions in turnovers, Raja has gained valuable insights that serve him in good stead in his venture at Syona Cosmetics.

He has consulted on strategy, operations, team-building and product development  for many Indian & multi-national companies through his other entrepreneurial ventures.

His passion and vision to build a world-class professional organization reflects even in the smallest of Syona’s endeavors. Raja is a firm believer in Dream Big, Act Quick!

Anuradha Balasubramanian

Co-founder & Director – Training & Product Development

Board Member


With a rich marketing and business experience of 15 + years across sectors like FMCG, Telecom and Education, Anu is passionate about professional skin and hair therapies, trends and education. Through diverse roles in organisations like Vodafone, CavinKare and HeyMath! She has gained a deep understanding of training, institutional sales and product management.

An astute sense to understand gaps in the market, developing concepts and taking them to operational excellence is her forte. Working closely with the community of salon owner, estheticians & managements, Anu spearheads training & product development at Syona Cosmetics.

BALAJI Balasubramanian

Head - Technical


Balaji has a rich experience of over 27 years formulating products for some of the best known brands in the world.  He served for companies like Hindustan Lever, Emami, Meso Group, Clarion and TTK to name a few. Diverse experience across formulation, quality and production gives him an unique insight and edge in formulation development.

Known for his calm and persevering nature, he spearheads the product development team to evolve technically superior and advanced formulations in line with new trends and technology.

​Arvind Sudharsan

Head of Business Development - Professional Division


Arvind joins us with a wide and rich experience across geographies and roles​, in professional industry​. Beginning his career in East and South India at Asian Paints, Philips and Osram, Arvind grew from a regional sales ​role to ​heading ​sales and marketing​ ​at Schwarzkopf India – a division of Henkel India where he was responsible for the top line, bottom line, category and brand growth. He ran his own food venture and then pursued national level leadership roles at Naturals, Spalon and Purplle.com.

Prior to joining Syona Cosmetics, he worked with Revlon India, as National Sales Head for their professional division, based out of Delhi.

Arvind is a commerce graduate form Calcutta University, an MBA in Marketing from IISWBM and has finished a course in Strategic Management course from IIM-A.

​He is working on strengthening current geography and expanding our footprint to newer territories.

A first generation entrepreneur, M. Arun Kumar is the Founder and Managing Director of Casa Grande Private Limited. From humble beginnings in 2004, Arun Kumar has presided over the company’s growth to Chennai’s leading real estate developer. Arun led the angel round from TCA and he is the investment director on board.

Being the first and served over a decade as CEO of Henkel India, Satish  built the professional, cosmetics, home care and laundry business from scratch to USD 150 Mn company. He serves on the board of many reputed companies and startups. He is an Angel investor and invests through his family office.
